Under federal law, every person is
entitled to one free credit report from each of the three
major credit bureaus every year. A Web site has been created
to allow access to this information for everyone. Go to
www.annualcreditreport.com,
select your state, complete the form and you will have
access to all of the reports online. Note that your FICO
score is not included with this information. You can purchase
your FICO score separately from each bureau for about
$5-10 per score. If you are planning on making any major
purchase such as a new home or new car, it is recommended
you get scores from all three bureaus, as your scores
will differ. |
