Basic Determination
Using flood information from our industry-leading database, one-time basic determinations are conveniently provided with the FEMA Standard Flood Hazard Determination Form.
Life-of-Loan Service
Our fully transferable life-of-loan product assures current, reliable flood data over the life of the mortgage. It’s the industry’s most widely recognized life-of-loan product, with 16 out of the top 20 servicers either accepting or requiring life-of-loan monitoring from First American. That means peace of mind if a client holds their loans, and enhanced marketability should they decide to sell their portfolio.
Refinance/Related Loan Determination
When a client’s borrower requests a piggyback loan, simultaneous second mortgage or refinancing, our low-cost refinance/related-loan determination is a quick, cost-effective solution. Simply provide an identification number for the loan, and we’ll produce a certification.
Note: Basic, Life-of-Loan, and Refinance/Related Loan Determination products are available for single-family, 1-4 unit residential properties.
Special Properties Determination
Mostly used for multi-structure residential or commercial properties, our Special Properties flood zone determination is a uniquely developed for commercial and construction lending. This product eliminates the need to order individual flood zone determinations for each lot within the same subdivision or building phase.
Census Tract Data
To help lenders comply with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act and the Community Reinvestment Act, census tract data is available with any of the First American Flood Data Services products and services.
A Census Tract Determination is an indication of the subject property's location with respect to MSA and census tract boundaries as defined by United States of America Bureau of the Census data.
Technology Interfaces
We have a state-of-the-art, real-time XML/SOAP interface and an easy-to-use FTP interface, both of which use industry data standards. We also support traditional EDI using X.12 standards over a VAN, as well as other types of electronic data exchange. These include various fixed and variable record formats transmitted over public and private networks and direct dialup.
